Griffith Park, reviewed by an imaginary mob boss

Bugsy, Flatface and Me has been very satisfied by the accommodations available at the lovely Griffith Park. We are particularly delighted the secluded canyons are quiet at nearly all hours.

Why it was just last Tuesday we was there at about 3AM doing a little delivery when we stumbled upon a charming new path on a west facing hill slope which led to a great clearing under a fine oak tree.

We are especially appreciate of how pliable and soft the ground was. If someone were to sow a garden there, it would be of no issues. The pathways were wide enough to easily fit me, Flatface, and the large luggage we were unfortunately carrying at the time. Bugsy had no trouble with the shovel. The old railroad pylons that were set to form steps and not make the hill slippery were a nice touch of added convenience.

Afterwards we sat and enjoyed a cigar as the autumn winds swept our hair and the city lights twinkled in the distance.

Parking was easy and free. Our 2014 Escalade had no problem fitting in the parallel parking space and the tree branches were neatly trimmed so as not to disturb our sensitive black paint job. What fine attention to detail the city has given to this place of recreation!

I must say that at first we were divided between enjoying the lake at MacArthur Park and the various opportunities at Griffith, but now we are settled … a stroll in the woods by moonlight followed by a fine steak at the Pacific Dining Car makes for a great evening with the pals.

Keep up the good work. Me, Bugsy, Flatface and I thank you from the bottomest of our hearts.
